Back Alley Jazz in support of Hyde Park Jazz Festival presents the Alley After Work. This is a multigenerational affair on Chicago’s South Side for music lovers, those looking to connect and build community. Lite bites are provided and we encourage indulgence in an array of beverages, and maybe plaing a game of Kinky Bingo or 2.
Bringing Cookies & Conversations to the Alley After Work has been an incredible pleasure. It is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.

This Women’s History Celebration is a curated gathering honoring the presence, creativity, and influence of women across music, food, beverage, and the arts. Presented under the Lux Listenings umbrella, the experience centers intentional sound, thoughtful hospitality, and community connection—creating space to listen, reflect, and celebrate together.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, guests will move through a carefully orchestrated atmosphere where music supports conversation, dining, and shared experience. The programming is rooted in respect for women’s contributions past and present, while making room for joy, expression, and forward movement.

Join Fran, the owner of Crema Shop a neighborhood coffee shop & Leah, owner and Curator of Cookies & Conversations for a cute neighborhood icebreaker open to the Public. These two have teamed up many times over the years, this being the first time since Leah closed her bakery.
Combined with over 40+ years in different sectors of the service industry, Fran and Leah have taken different approaches to running communal people focused businesses, while engaging in community connections, celebrating people, and history, things that matter deeply to both.

The Genius of Speed dating, Katie of Hot Potato Hearts, brings fun and whimsy to the seriousness of love for Queer Chicago and beyond. Hosting a variety of events dedicated to dating in the 2020’s, theres excitement, connection, and a lot of possibilities for love.
Nobody’s Darling is a sexy setting to host this amazing event. One of only 37 Lesbian owned Bars in the country, one of 2 here in Chicago, the drinks, the atmosphere, the clientele make for an unforegettable setting where love, friendship, and community awaits.
You know the cookies. And you know the conversation. Queer Bingo kicks the night off with a fun icebreaker to get folx lossened up and ready to date. Queeries will be at each table in case you need a little help with conversations. And our gourmet cookies with a vegan GF option will be in the house!
